Summary: Eve and Peabody had no idea how their lives would change when they are called to the Wilfred B. Icove Center for Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery to investigate a death. Before they leave the first crime scene, another death occurs. There is clearly more going on at the Center than meets the eye. But even Eve can’t imagine what she’ll find before this investigation is over.
💭 This is the case that is referred to over and over throughout the series. It’s essentially the case that makes Eve, her team, and Nadine Furst household names in this future world. The Icove case really makes you suspend belief as the technology in today’s world is not yet this sophisticated (I hope). But it’s hard to rate this as anything less that almost perfect because of the impact this case has on the rest of the series.
I will say this every time I review a book from this series: If you need a good audiobook series, I implore you to try this one starting with Naked in Death. Susan Ericksen makes the characters come alive with her brilliant narration.
❓ What is a technology you hope will be developed in the near future?
